Have your students take a practice math test. Give them an entire class period to finish or extended time if necessary. Treat it like the real standardized math testing day. From this test you will learn what they know and don’t know yet about math.

- Note taking of math concepts by the student with either foldable notes or scaffolded notes in their notebook.
- Scaffolded practice of calculating math concepts. Review the step by step method and have students practice these concepts at least ten times or more.
- Word problem practice. Have students practice word problems of the math concepts they need to practice and solve for their math assessment.
